HEY I'M ALEX &
I'M A CONTENT STRATEGIST.
This is the story of me, Alex Marin, a Miami-born gal with dreams to work in the big city (like you haven't heard that one before). I'm in my final semester of the Media Studies graduate program at The New School. What is Media Studies you ask? What is The New School you further press? The second is a pretty cool school in New York City. The first is going to force me to jump into another paragraph.

Media Studies involves a combination of theory (Marshall Mcluhan, anyone?) and production. It's multi-disciplinary because we learn so much, and then we don't know what to do with ourselves because our brains are so full. But I digress. My focus has been on social media and graphic design, where I've been happily working with both skill sets at my current freelancing gig at TV Land, where I'm involved with the development and execution of creative content creation for our campaigns and TV shows.
Along the way, I picked up some projects that challenged me in both creative and technical aspects and, as cheesy as it sounds (I can practically smell the gouda), those were my favorite because I was pushed to limits that turned out to not be my limits at all. This is probably a good time to let you know that I keep a notebook filled with inspirational quotes in my bag at all times. Along with a million old receipts. #TMI
You can currently find me living in Manhattan, unfortunately owning zero pets, on several social media platforms, and continuing to shape the way we all use and create media.
